You see, a round barn doesn't resist the wind...
it harmonizes with it.
The Round Barn Farm hosts One of the Three Remaining true round barns in St.Croix County, Wisconsin. Our barn stands, as a majestic, aging, grand old lady of the plains, the way she was when built by Norwegian carpenters in 1914. Round Barns Today
Finding round barns now can be a bit of a challenge. Most round barns were built by affluent farmers. In 1910, to be an affluent farmer one must have had fertile flat ground like that in south and west central Wisconsin, and that is where most of the remaining round barns are found.
It's up to the detective in the true round barn lover to find these rare beauties, because so many of these landmarks have disappeared over the years. However, time is not on our side, as for every year that goes by, more barns are.
