In July of 1959 he joined The MITRE Corporation, Lexington, Mass. as a Member of the Technical Staff. During this tour of duty he worked in the Radar-Beacon Inputs Group designing and analyzing equipments supplying data to the Continental Air Defense (SAGE) System. In June of 1963 he was transferred by the company to its Washington, D.C. offices to support the Federal Aviation Administration in the development of the National Airspace System.
In June of 1965 he joined TRW Space Technology Laboratories, Redondo Beach, California as a Member of the Technical Staff. In 1966, he became group leader of the Computer Systems Section in the Digital Development Laboratory. This section was responsible for the design and development of electronic hardware for airframes and spacecraft including: special and general purpose digital computers, command and telemetry systems, secure communication (K) boxes, electronic warfare and digital imaging systems. Approximately 5 years later he moved into the technical project and program management areas. Some of the government projects supported include: Apollo (LM AGS), Pioneer 10 & 11, Viking, Minuteman GNC, AC-130 Gunship, KW-46 (Vallor), HEAO, Batson I & II, ICNIA, and Milstar.
In 1975 he formed Xecon Associates an engineering consulting company.
Since its inception Xecon has worked with numerous companies other than the principal clients previously listed. Included are: American MicroSystems Inc.(AMI), TRW Colorado Electronics, Glentek Inc., Standard Logic, Advanced Telecommunications, and Motorola.
